Performance Arts & creative facilitation

As an artist with multiple identities, I have forged a diverse body of work encompassing performance, video, sound, dance, on-site installations, interactive and experimental processes, and creative projects within Lebanon and Germany. My role as a creative and cultural facilitator, coupled with being a dance movement therapist employing body-based practices and creative art therapies, centers around the corporeality of artistic practices. My work explores issues related to fragmented identities, the body as a vessel for collective and individual memory, and as a space for political and ecological reflection, exile, belonging, and mental health.

At the core of my artistic methodology is an emphasis on the corporeal aspects, drawing attention to bodily expressions in the construction of realities and conflict resolution. This attention extends to temporal perspectives and dreams, serving as catalysts for both artistic innovation and societal transformation.

Informed by my experiences as both a migrant and an artist, I embark on an extensive exploration of identity mapping that transcends conventional narratives. Shaped by the complexities of leaving Lebanon nine years ago, this journey reflects the ongoing struggle to reconcile my sense of self within my own body and homeland. As an interdisciplinary multimedia artist, my aim is to challenge prevailing interpretations and navigate the intricacies of belonging, particularly concerning migration, queerness, memories, and fragmented notions of identity mapping.

The convergence of my roles as a multimedia artist and curator adds depth to my work. Drawing from various disciplines, I integrate methodologies that prioritize the examination of shared memories as crucial elements in shaping our sociopolitical understandings.
